Strongest in your gym
« on: March 21, 2010, 07:42:31 PM »
Well what are the biggest lifts in your gym?

At one stage we have a 550ish bench and a few 650+ squatters and deadlifters for a few reps. They were on gear obviously. In my memory in my gym there was one guy did a 500lb bench!

300 kg deadlift for 8 (?) reps. It's on Youtube but I'm lazy.  :P

Also 245 kg deep squat from a lifter under 90 kg.

Not many bench pressers in the gym.

In our gym I bench 315lbs for 4-5 reps...my workout partner benches around 400-460lbs on a regular basis. :)

Looks like he just smoked some meth or something. He keeps rushing back and forth. I like the 5 inch squat.

WTF? Any more info about who this dude is? He has an uncanny resemblence to a guy a know named "Big Steve" who trained out of the Leaning Tower YMCA in Chicago.  Big Steve had OCD which was getting progressively worse.  I havenen't seen him in about 4 years. The dude in this video looks A LOT like him and definately has the OCD going. Could it be him?

Haha I have no idea bro.  I see the black guy sitting kinda in front of the camera all the time.  Next time I do, I'll ask him if he knows what all went down.

I'm the strongest in my gym...which isn't saying much with a 425 bench.

People pay me compliments all the time and I'm like "this really isn't all that strong....i know 100 guys online that can bench twice what i do"

There's a 525 contest bench and 600 contest dead - both in suits.  No one squats  ::)

Back in the 80s my gym was rife with drug usage. Guys who still train now attest and confirm we had some real strong guys.
