Favorite Wrestler Theme Music

Not a big Matt Hardy fan, but this song rocks. Powerhouse riff with lyrics that are perfect for a pro wrestler.

Batista's music is bretty badass, if you as me.

Randy Orton's music is extremely gay. His older music was way better.

Austin's - with the glass breaking & heavy guitar rift - fit him to the "T."

Demolition's theme was pretty "hardcore" for an 80's team.

And, although it's only a part of the entire formula, Undertaker's organ theme is very appropriate and effective.

Not big on any of the ones cut specifically for a wrestler, other than Austin.

Favorites, because they really fit were "Iron Man" for the Road Warriors, 2001 for Flair, Freebird for the Freebirds and I actually thought Savage using Pomp and Circumstance (?) was also very good.

These are good ones.

I would add "Tom Sawyer" for the late Kerry Von Erich, with his nickname "The Modern Day Warrior" being the first line of the song.

The NWO Wolfpac them track was the bomb. I even used it to pose during a bbdg contest back in 2002, lol.

I agree and almost mentioned that one.  You know another one that was funny, but fit the wrestler was Jimmy Valiants "Boy from NYC." haha  Jimmy couldn't wrestle a lick, but he could get the crowd to pop.

At least you were somewhat creative.

If I’d attended one more show where somebody used Triple H’s Motorhead theme, I’d have rushed that stage and strangled them with their own thong!

Oh, so did I...
More than I care to remember.

Hennig’s WWF theme - which was essentially a modification of the soundtrack from Exodus - was “perfect” for him.

“Enter Sandman” still pops a crown when the former ECW champ comes out.

Hollywood Hogan's NWO "Icon" track that he used at WM18 when he fought The Rock was awesome.

I can't remember it.
Was it a remix of the original NWO b&w?
I know that one was a porno track or something.

Something that Jimmy Hendrix did. At large events Hogan always came out to his own track versus the NWO black & White track.

Oh, you mean "Voodoo Child?"
That's the Hendrix song Hogan always used in WCW.

Yes, Voodoo Child is what he used as his entrance music in WCW but in his WM18 match with the ROck he used a another track by Hendrix also. i think it's called Icon. It was a sick entrance track. You'd have to rewatch WM18 to here it. It was the only time I heard it. He never used it after that.

Luggers first and 2nd wlk in songs were cool   I don't know the tunes though.   The L.O.D fit the theme of IRONMAN. But Flair's theme  made it clear who he was and why all should watch him enter.   I mocked Savage during my jr, hs, and college graduations.

I have seen Wrestling 50 times at MSG at least. The place went absolutely ape shit when Cena came out as #30. Everyone in the entire arena was on they're feet screaming! I've never seen fans act like that ever except for Hulkster.
Really? I thought for sure they might have heckled him especially at MSG. Fans seem to really heckle the shit out of Cena. Boos, "you can't wrestle" chants, etc but when all is said and done, they cheer him anyway. Funny shit.

Rick Derringer (which is a really bad-ass name, BTW) was a busy guy in the 80's.
He did some really popular entrance songs, as well as most of the work on the Fed's first two records - "The Wrestling Album" & "Piledriver."

Trivia: Real American was originally intended for the Barry Windham & Mike Rotundo team. Jesse Ventura even mentions them in conjunction with the song on the album.
Anyway, Hulk Bollea got the song, Rotundo got 16 name changes, and Windham finally realized musical acclaim years later as part of the West Texas Rednecks in WCW!

My sister bought me the "Piledriver" soundtrack for xmas in 87!   It was cool yet corny in a way.

That is a very astute and accurate synopsis of the WWF during that time period...
"Cool & corny."
