What do you want to see? Fitness competitors? Female bodybuilders?

im just messing around.....but the bikini division is kind of a joke.

yeah the girls are hot, but its more of a pagent and not a physique contest......

kind of marginalizes other female competitors, but i suppose there is money to be made off of it

The sole and only purpose for the bikini division is more $ for the promoters and NPC. You can go to a strip club or any popular beach on a summer day and find girls that could do the bikini division the next day. No dieting is required whatsoever. Most girls look the same year round. Now while I do understand the more $ part, it is a major pain in the ass that causes shows to run much longer than they used to.

In the San Diego BB championship, they had over 200 female competitors, most of them in the bikini division. The real insult is that they put them on first. While all the bodybuilders are sitting around most of them dehydrated from not being able to drink any water till after the pre-judging, they got to go on dead last while the bikini girls who I bet 80% didn't do a day of dieting much less be dehydrated go on first.

I agree that this division kind of takes away from other female competitors, since they don't have to work or prepare themselves as the rest. I also think the number one reason the IFBB came up with this division is money, but they are definitively more appealing to look at.

But you're right, its more of a pagent than anything else.

exactly. I'm all for hot chicks in bikinis. But really, where do you draw the line when it comes to NPC/IFBB? Figure is kind of lame enough in its own way, but still is somewhat competitive and fitness-related I suppose. So what does that make the bikini division? "Fit-but-not-as-fit-as-figure-which-is-not-as-ripped-as-female-bodybuilding-division"? How is it different from the Hawaiian Tropic and Hooters bikini contests (whose top competitors would smoke these so-called "bikini" competitors)?

makes it not different at all, they know sex sells, and are taking hawaiian tropic idea, and formatting it into an official contest

figure is bad enough, they recently changed the judging criteria in figure, and want the girls softer, and less muscular.........if you look at the girl who won the figure olympia last year, nicole wilkens lee, she doesnt look much different then a bikini girl, she is smooth and barely has visible abs

Reef has the best girls. I used to put on the BEST bikini contests in Hawaii. I paid big bucks. $1000 per body part. The girls liked it more cause then someone with great tits might win that category but she might have shitty legs or ass and so someone else wins those categories. The money was spread around more and the overall winner got a $1500 bonus. I put one on at the Polo Fields in Waimanalo and had over 2000 people show up and I had 20+ judges. I made all my major sponsors judges. I put one on during the Duke Surf Classic in Waikiki that drew everyone over to watch that not many were watching the surf contest. The Duke's widow told the organizers she didn't want me there the next year.

Not one of those bikini girls comes close to the body on the Reef girl.

The biggest reason why the NPC put in the bikini or figure is to get more people to come to the shows. That is it! It opens a whole new audience. Now heteros can go.
