Yeah, your first statement, remember they are infatuated with the European look. That's why most Anime are white people with Japanese names (I can't figure it out). Asian eyes are thought of as "mean" looking. That's why the "cutesy" eye look is popular. Basically they have sort of self hatred of themselves...There is a derogatory term for half black/Japanese kids...
Kyomu had said that those Japanese Brazilians are seen as Brazilians by Japanese people. Especially those who are mixed. My open mind only extends to Filipina, Thai 
when you went, where did you stay? And where did you go, did you sample some JDM cars?
I wouldn't go that far, I'm sure it applies to some, but the japanese, from what I can tell were very very prideful and hardworking people. I think a lot of things are hearsay until one of course, experiences them themselves, obviously. Like I said I joke a lot about race and such, but it's the same thing if one percieves blacks as kool aid drinking kfc eathing negros, lol, but I wouldn't revert to that cause I know it applies to some, but not all.
I was in Yokohoma/kanagawa. It was around 2004 or so, I was 19. I went there for a church thing, saw some pretty cool looking cars, but nothing spectacular, had a lot of fun, met some cool people, but it was freaking crowded!
