The school shooting argument and the Beach argument are not so great ones to make.    They don`t really make sense and are not relevant.  Nobody is really scared of school shootings nor are they that frequent.  The trend has not increased at all throughout history relative to the population.

Also, I don`t know of any beaches on my coast that are closed.  You can walk on them 24/7 365 days a year.
