is there some inside joke about Dubai being in India?  Last i checked the UAE where Dubai is located is a long ways from india.

Didn't Richard Gere become public enemy No 1 because he kissed some Indian actress on the cheek?

Pretty amusing that they have all those provocative bollywood dance routines in their movies and yet kissing is taboo.

Yeah, it was or is against the Law. He kissed that light eyed Indian actress. I think that what basically boiled down to was jealousy plain and simple. A lot of the public desire her, and some Western actor kissing her is akin to Richard Gere tongue kssing Halle Berry at the BET awards...

He sure did! And he was banned from Dubai for life. Such hypocrites.... ask the guy to come over to Bollywood for a romantic movie and ban him for life. Jeez!!

Fortunately he did only 2 weeks of jail for it.
