I only knew Hawk and Animal in their post-Road Warrior days as the Legion of Doom in my wrestling watching years. They were awesome.

i personally spotted Animal doing close grip bench with 5 plates and a 10 per side for reps in 1991.  freaky strong.

You are out of your mind if you think these guys are that weak, or would even swallow their dignity by using fake plates. I dont believe these are even the time of men to do such a thing. People forget these guys are huge men, not 5'8" midgets with 100lbs of muscle added to their puny frames like most of the pros. They have been doing nothing but powertraining and running all year round cycles for years and would destroy most if not any pro in the strength department for obvious reasons. The big man almost always beats the little man in pushing heavy weights. Cmon Bob, you should know that kind of thing if you've been studying bodybuilding long enough... Use your head!   ;)

Both of the Road Warriors could bench well into the 500's.

I believe Hawk did close to 580 in a legit competition in the 80's.

He did it on the news live from the gym.  He is the strongest guy I ever armwrestled,  He kicked my ass everytime.  He is in the background in the bottom photo and I am in the foreground.  And the top photo is in Anaheim I think
