This is why MSNBC is a joke
« on: April 07, 2010, 07:59:41 AM »
Ed Shultz said the following during the Scott Brown election.

"If I lived in Massachusetts I'd try to vote 10 times. I don't know if they'd let me or not but I'd try to. Yeah that's right. I'd keep these bastards out. I would. Cause that's exactly what they are." This is why Brown has to be up 5-7 points on election day. Anything closer and the Dems will steal this race right from under the GOP's noses."

Now he rants and raves about Rush saying this.

"It’s time now for the Democrats to consider the Fairness Doctrine when you’ve got Rush Limbaugh out there saying, it’s, we’ve got to defeat these bastards. He is now openly admitting that he is going to work against and campaign against the Republican, against the Democratic Party and campaign against Obama, and he is motivating people with the microphone and he’s electioneering. Keep on talking, Rushsky! Hell, maybe I’ll get on 600 stations too, or how many you own or whatever".

Now,can someone please tell me the difference between what Shultz said about republicans and Rush said about democrats? This is why this network is a joke.Their double standards are so incredible it boggles the mind.Shultz can say whatever he wants,Rush needs to be silenced.

Nobody said Rush needs to be silenced, BILLY.  He delivers a good far-right message to counter Shultz' far-left opinion.  They are both very proud of their extreme nature, and they both work to press buttons of those on the opposite end of the spectrum.

We NEED voices of extreme from both sides of the aisle.

Shultz said he wanted to socialise radio in response to Rush.Is he scared to let the market decide?...Oh wait,of course he is because no one listens or watches him so he will force us to by government edict.Great American and a great believer in freedom and the first amendment.

his use of the word 'junta' to describe the Obama Admin is pretty extreme, in my opinion.

jun·ta   /ˈhʊntə, ˈdʒʌn‐, ˈhʌn‐/  Show Spelled[hoon-tuh, juhn‐, huhn‐]
–noun
1.a small group ruling a country, esp. immediately after a coup d'état and before a legally constituted government has been instituted.

I don't listen to Rush on a dialy basis, nor do I listen to Ed on a daily basis.  I can't list all their positions.

I'd say the use of the word 'junta' is a declaration that the 2008 election isn't a valid one.  I'd say his daily "everything obama does is wrong" is one position.

Well, for one... i don't understand this big deal about nukes.

We agreed (on paper, which goes out window when war starts anyway)...

We agreed that we would only use nukes on countries with nukes, or Iran, right?  Is that accurate?  Um, we can destroy countries pretty easily using conventional weapons.  Remember Daisy cutters then MOAB used in Afghanistan?  The MOAB is comparable in damage to a small nuke.  And Russia claims to have the FOAB, or "father of all bombs", remember?

Moab's effects on humans...

Point is, we can destory any nation, without nukes.  So I don't know if that agreement is that big a deal, if it means our enemies are scaling back.

Here is the problem with that example,he was doing it to mock Chris Mathews saying it.Mathews was outraged that Rush called the Obama administration a regime and said why doesnt he call it a junta.

The next day ,Rush gave many many many examples of the left calling the Bush administration a regime AS WELL AS CHRIS MATHEWS doing it.So Rush then called the Obama administration a regime and junta EVERYTIME he spoke of it.Once again Rush was tweeking the left and they are so dumb they didnt pick up on it.So your example falls short as it was Rush playing the left for fools.
