President Obama has "broken" the American system of providing healthcare and will now be held responsible for spiraling insurance premiums and doctor shortages, according to Fox News commentator and best-selling author Dick Morris.

In an exclusive Newsmax.TV interview, Morris adds that President Obama's
plan to engage in immigration "reform", giving more than 12 million illegals citizenship, is dead.

"I think it's going to animate the whole midterm elections, and I think you're going to see the opposition numbers [against Obama] mount, as layoffs takes place, corporate write downs continue with the costs, and most importantly, as individuals see their premium costs go up," says Morris, author of "2010 Take Back America: A Battle Plan."

"Here Obama has broken the healthcare system, and now any increases in premiums are going to be blamed on him and his healthcare bill," Morris goes on to say. "And then in October the elderly get hit with the Medicare cuts that are scheduled to take effect, and that's also going to be significant, and the deficit will continue to mount. So all of that is bad news for Obama, and I think his negatives over healthcare are just beginning."

Regarding those Medicare cuts, Morris predicts that more doctors, particularly specialists, will stop seeing Medicare patients altogether. "It will be very hard for an elderly person who needs a specialist to stay alive to find one to treat them, unless he's willing to pay out of pocket, or through his health insurance," he says.

The last time I heard him speak about it, which was about a week before the vote, he said he was unsure what would happen.

I heard obama will wait on amnesty until after the 2010 fall elections.  MSN believed that.  It makes sense. 

But yeah, i'm sure he'll push it in the spring and I'm sure it'll pass.  What congressman wants to be seen as anti-hispanic?  It's why bush, mccain and obama and palin all supported the bill last time.

I talked to a Congressional candidate today and specifically asked him about amnesty.  He said "I don't like it," but then after engaging in wishy washy political speak said in so many words that we don't have a choice. 

Screw that.  I think we should amend the Constitution to say you are a citizen by birth only if both of your parents are legal citizens of the U.S.

well it is a NewsMax story so the odd are close to 100% that it's not accurate

i think it's a foregone conclusion that it'll pass.  Dems will do what obama tells them, and a lot of repubs are on board with it.  It won't be nearly as divisive as healthcare, and if youre on the wrong side of it, it's gonna hurt come election time. 

Can anyone share how things will change here if Amnesty bill passes?

I dont think it will pass.The last time it came up they almost had riots in the street.When you get the right fired up enough that they are ready to go to war then you know its a bad bill.This will get a worse reaction then health care did.

They won't.  What the right seems to fail to comprehend is immigrant labour is not only needed it is necessary for our economy.  Without it we are screwed and if you want to talk about trillions of dollars try enforcing a massive land border and see how much that adds up to.  Enjoy your high prices on everything immigrant labor does from meat to poultry to fruit picking to landscaping.  If we give them amnesty we tax them, we tax them we make more money and they no longer become a burden on the system.  It's simple mathematics but it takes a racial tone because they happen to be brown and speak a different language.

I don't remember the riots.  I remember the president and ppl from both parties backing it.

I thought Obama was shrewd enough to pass healthcare, and he did.  The stim bill was bought and paid for too.

I hate to tells ya, but both parties get on board for this like this.  Bush, Obama, palin, mccain, biden all voted for this POS immigration bill.  It'll pass next year, unfortunately.
