There is some footage of Larry Scott shooting instructional videos with Benfatto - looks like early 80's. I even posted a few clips of said footage on the training board.
Did those two ever work together in some capacity?
Because some of Larry’s “own” exercises seemed foreign to FB, I’m presuming that – at least prior to filming – Benfatto hadn’t trained under Larry’s tutelage.

Think late 80's, I dont think they trained together outside of the industry environment, and those Scott exercises (delts, arms) were unusual but they worked for Larry!
I can try find out, I stay in same city as Benfatto, seen him round, but never actually met him. But know people that know him. Would be interesting to talk to him.

no one can show this kind of arms, waist and sweep quad.

That later photo doesn't look all that old.

Somebody posted a pic of him standing with his son a while back. Pops definitely passed on some good genetics!

I know he was only 5'5" and weighed like 175 pounds, but he had the shortest upper torso I have ever seen.

I watched him train the first time I ever went to Gold's Venice in March, 1990- he'd hit poses in between sets, and even fully clothed (no homo) looked better than 99% of the guys there. My #2 favorite of all time behind Lee Labrada.

Overrated BB because of two major flaws:
He's too short, and his head is too big: all in all, totally out of proportion, although in a different way than today's wide waisted mass monsters.

That - to me - is the closest thing to the ideal physique.
IMO, and to a person on the street (who doesn't follow bb), this may be the upper limit of what is considered aesthetically pleasing.
They would almost certainly favor this look over a fridge with arms.

he does endorsements for supp companies here in south africa, trains people, writes for mags, etc.

he makes money from bbing exclusively, it appears

back in the day, was weider athlete, did supp ads, etc
