Anderson has never fought a real wrestler.  GSP is the best wrestler the UFC has.  I actually believe that it would be a close fight with GSP earning a decision win.

I'm pretty sure Dan Henderson qualifies as a real wrestler. We all know what happened there.

Dan is a Greco Roman wrestler, which is completely different from the wrestling that GSP does.  I'm telling you, Anderson's Achilles hill is a solid wrestler with good BJJ defense and solid ground & pound.  The best one I can think of is GSP.

I agree with Spin.

Nobody at 185 has the physical tools GSP has and despite Silva's win over Hendo, Hendo without a doubt is the one guy who at least won a round against Anderson in the UFC. GSP is faster, better conditioned, has better striking and is way more versatile. If Anderson cut to 170, his size advanatage over GSP would go out the window and I think that GSP would be able to take Silva down, avoid being submitted and do just enough on his feet to stand with Silva and avoid getting KO'd.

At 185 I think Anderson would win. At WW I think GSP would win.

Lutter actually had Silva in a couple of compromising spots during their fight. Silva's small weakness is in his ground game. GSP would pose a threat there.

Either way a great fight.

A completely dehydrated and exhausted Lutter had Silva in a full mount.  I'm sure Anderson learned from that and has improved since then, but imagine what might be possible with GSP.  I also think that a fight like this would bring the best out of both of them.

Do you really think that a 185 GSP would preform as well as a 170 GSP.

Doesn't seem like alot on paper but 15lbs is a lot of cardio to improve on.

He's already cutting down from 190.  My guess is that of he moves up, he might get up to 195 and cut a measly 10lbs to make 185.  Anderson would still have a size advantage, but the small cut might allow GSP to perform better...

didn't dana say that gsp gets incredibly nervous before a fight, even if it's someone like matt serra?

if that's true he will be scared out of his mind to fight anderson

I hope the fight happens but if it does, GSP has no chance whatsoever.  He isn't nearly big or strong enough to hang with Silva striking and it will never get to the ground.  Even on the ground, GSPs chances are negligible.

Henderson took him down and Luter took him down. At 170, why wouldn't GSP take him down?

No way Silva drops to 170. I see him fighting at LHW if Shogun beats Machida (again) though.

He would tool GSP at 185 which is why GSP won't go up.

Silva is like RJJ and Mayweather..........tons of talent but no killer instinct.

Safety first fighter, win first and dont worry about entertaining the fans.

GSP , Machida, and Brock as well....lol at paying to watch them fight hahaha......every fight is so predictable on what they gonna do.

A. Silva has always been a large middleweight fighting in a weak division against much smaller competition. Realistically, he should be fighting in the light heavy-weight division. When he fought Griffin the difference in size was negligible-check out the weigh in photos.  GSP would be essentially moving up two weight classes to fight him and I don't feel that is realistic for GSP.

Ageed. Silva is a disgrace. He talks about how he wanted to punish Maia. He should have ended the fight in the first round.
He ended up looking the fool, and Maia has a lot of new fans.

I have never really liked Silva's 'Jedi' antics. Imagine if this was someones firs event. They would think this was WWE.

Why does Silva have to cut weight, is GSP that much of a bitch he can't move up, why not a catch weight of 180lbs, does Dana want to protect his little boy that much that, Bj moved up to fight him, did GSP move down,
