That’s former WWF writer Ed Ferrara impersonating Jim Ross, who’d recently suffered a severe bout of Bell’s Palsy at the time.
Apparently, Ferrara’s “tasteful” mockery of his facial paralysis did little to flatter Ross, and the angle was laid to rest.
Ross later blogged about how hurt he was that such a stunt was pulled as part of a ratings war, but later issued an open letter on his site suggesting that, at least he, was willing to reconcile.
