If find it that most of these guys don't take in to account or monitor recurring expenses they accumulated when they "were on top" making the big dollars X yrs .vs what they have left when that dollar stops X yrs left to live a decent lifestyle enjoying their fruits of labor.

Most are front loaded to the point to where even if they try to scale down when they realize "they are going broke" that it's too late..then they usually file bankruptcy.

I know it's easy for us to sit back and say we'd do this and that...but damn .....how hard is it take a nice 20 of your 100 million and just live off that 20 and put the rest in savings ..etc and watch it grow over the next 30 years while you still live off the 20 mill budget.

There was this offensive lineman (former dolphin can't remember his name) was on the radio last week talking about how he blew through millions yet he still was able to catch himself just in time to scale down his lifestyle and still live comfortable life and doesn't have to work ever.

He said as long as you catch yourself and realize "that check aint comin no mo" you should be fine...but a lot don't. They think they still have a few years left to get that check to retire off of when they should have realized before the $$$ was coming in slower than before.
