Every teacher in FL was outraged at this bill, which would have slashed their pay in a major way.
Gov Crist vetoed it - and tens of thousands of teachers are singing his praises right now.
I'm betting should he run as an independent in Nov (Something he is no longer ruling out!), the teachers will get behind him instead of the Dem candidate Meeks, as is traditionally the case.
I think Crist may have just won the Senate race with this move.
