Super Heros, Anti Heros and Just Plain Kids

Visual renderings of 'super-heros' now come in all sorts of shapes and sizes which now gives every kid in Hollywood the ability to fit the role that once used to be only appropriate for actors who had a somewhat decent build ... (they failed to cast those appropriate super-hero actors in the vast majority of cases though).

So now we not only have super-heros, but we will soon be seeing anti-heros and 'just plain kids'. No muscle bodies required!

And Hollywood seems to like this new 'hero' definition because now they don't have to listen to the fans who demand that the actors who portray their super-heros on screen look somewhat similar to what the original artist had intended.

Now "Kick Ass" will  be seen by millions of super-hero fans tomorrow when it opens nationally.

And it should be a major success and encourage Hollywood to make more like it and use kids or old farts to fill these future super-hero roles.

And that will lead to the 'anti-hero' - a 'hero' with no exceptional abilities who goes around doing comparable super-hero acts without giving a damn  what anyone thinks of his super-hero actions

And right now there is a super-hero script in which all the super-heros are gay and somewhat notorious and flamboyant (synopsis).

The first is my good friend 'Supe' a bit bigger than originally intended but this shot was taken 'off season' so he is a bit bigger than most of his friends see him every day.

Stuntmovie, I think kick ass is more a mockery or satir of the super hero cliche...nobody is gonna replace the badass of Logan or the stoic yet moralistic overtones of Supes or the fanatical darkness and obsession with criminals  of Batman...he belongs in Arkham Aslum more than anyone else...

Let me just say I don't know, but my original idea of what a anti-hero guy was is this guy below whom I really like way too much because I should be not liking anti-heros at all.

But I soon discovered that I are dumb and a real anti-hero is a gay anti-hero and that is why he/she is 'anti'.

But Bay may feel otherwise and I'd like to hear his opinion of a gay-superhero movie.

So here might be the new anti-hero kind of hero.

Note: this anti-hero rendering was taken from an anti-hero web site and had to be cropped extensively in an effort to be non-offensive to the eyesballs of us less offensive getbiggerrs.

But this may be the direction Hollywood may be heading within the story book (script) world of movie making.

I two callbacks for a part oin Superman called Nuclear Man.  Never saw the movie, but I was in the office when some executives got a call from Burger King   There was a part in the movie where Superman and Nuclear Man were fighting and I think I was suppose to throw Superman through the Burger King billboard.  Well in the script that's all that was written.  The Burger King executives paid a $5 million fee to be that billboard and in the movie so they wanted it to be more than just a guy getting thrown through the billboard.  They wanted it to explode and be spectacular.  It was odd listening to these people talk.  Anyway, I never seen the movie so did the billbpoard explode like they wanted.

Yes, I think Supe got thrown through it and it blew up like the 4th of July. But that would never really happen to Supe .... it was just done for that movie....

AND since Parker mentioned "The Authority" .... here's a couple of those front covers ....
