He was claiming that on averqage people are paying less federal taxes than in years past.  While that may be techincially true as per just the federal income tax, that does not tell the complete truth that people overall are getting screwed on the state level as a result of federal unfunded mandates that push a lot of these taxes on to the state side.

Additionally, the tea party people are pissed off with the level of borrowoing to pay for utter crap that will result in a FUTURE tax increase or worse.

He is the epitome of a dishonest lib.

so he said that people are paying less in federal income tax and you agree that's true

what do unfunded mandates have to do with his statement and why don't you tell us which mandates you're talking about and how they rusult in higher taxes at the state level.

be specific otherwise I'm inclined to believe you're just talking out of your ass again

You should know this perfectly well as per your screen name, but what most libs do is create a STRAW MAN man argument that does not tell the whole truth about a situation.

His bs and lies have everything to do with my statement since people are now paying more in local property, sales, and income taxes to cover the FEDERAL unfunded mandates that are not picked up in the Federal income tax.

GMAFB.  Coming from one delusional lib to another.

Between you and straw your knowledge of the tax code and tax issues is less than John Edwards knows about fidelity.

Just for shits and giggles for you two homos, here is an example from my county alone.

you've got it half right

I picked my screen name after watching most Republican create Straw Man arguments.

Seriouly man, that's a Republican Institution

Watch the rhetoric on the banking legislation (something that I have mixed feeling about).

The Repubs are agaisnt it but the argument they are going to give is that its' going to create more banks that are too big to fail

This is a bogus argument but they know it's a talking point that will resonate with their uninformed constituents

Yes the left doesnt do that.Health insurance companies, wall street, talk radio, fox news, tea parties, the wealthy,.Nope the left never makes up straw men and they never ever do things like call those who oppose them racists, homophobes, right wing kooks,McVeigh wannabees,Nazis, etc. No sir,the left always debates strictly on the merrits.

I never said the left didn't do it

I said it's a freaking INSTITUTION on the right

I truly wish the right would have honest debates on the substance instead of constantly doing the straw man thing

I'd probably be more inclined to agree with Reblicans on a few issues if they just had an honest debate

Maybe Obama is reading GB too - from his radio address today:

"Just the other day, in fact, the Leader of the Senate Republicans and the Chair of the Republican Senate campaign committee met with two dozen top Wall Street executives to talk about how to block progress on this issue.

Lo and behold, when he returned to Washington, the Senate Republican Leader came out against the common-sense reforms we’ve proposed.  In doing so, he made the cynical and deceptive assertion that reform would somehow enable future bailouts – when he knows that it would do just the opposite."

ron paul will be 77 years old in 2012 and would be 81 by the end of his first term. mccain was ataked for being to old at 71

-El Chapo
Ron Paul walks and talks like he's 60.  McCain often looked and acted like he just escaped from the last days section of the retirement home.  You kinda have to judge.  I mean many people do stay sharp into old age while others do not.  What comes out of Pauls mouth is pretty much the same message he's had his entire career.  If his age is a worry, it just means his VP choice should be a little more important.  If he has a good VP pick, it shouldn't be much of an issue.

I'll take an old Ron Paul over what we've had in the last 4 presidents.

Plus people freak out at some of the things Ron Paul has said as though he'd be able to walk into office on day one and abolish half of government.  LOL, we all know that wouldn't be possible if you know how things work.  It just wouldn't happen, but what you could count on during his presidency is that it wouldn't get worse, government wouldn't get bigger.  He would be one hell of a "fuck no" to the idiots in Congress.  His entire career says that.  So don't worry about his more radical statements, he couldn't make them happen anyway.

they've been better to him than they were before the election.  I did post a attack by Fox on Ron Paul in the last couple months but they don't do it as much as they did.  Before he was pretty much only attacked on Fox.
