I figured you would...Have you seen the video of the red test mule 1M/M1 with the wheel flares on the 'Ring? looks, and sounds good---but it is a test mule. Apparently, they have done 3 test clinics for the name, and overwhelmingly they tester have picked M1--even knowing about the hallowed history of the first M1. Aslo, since there will testing of the M3 GTS in a few weeks by journalists, and the head of M Division will be fielding questions about the M1...appararently there will be more "spy" shots as well, because they have leaked out to certian people when and where they will be testing, to keep the attention and fervor up on the anticipated M1. It will be available possibly for 1-3 yrs, because that chassis is going to phased out, and ready for the next 1 series chassis.
The engine (N55) will be a "S" engine (as with all M Division engines) and will be the basis for the next M3 engine.
Get some sleep...it's 4:42 am.
Yeah I've read. Like I said I still don't like the styling of that car, very out of porportion. It's going to be good though, and I have been a fan of FI, but I think they should leave all M cars NA. Guess they no longer can do that given the economy, horrible gas consumption.
Just read EVO mags review of the Audi RS5. In short they called it a disappointment

Aside from the R8 I don't get the hype with Audi, drove a dozen of them and aside from acouple, nothing special about them at all. Heavy, and steering is not direct and feels clumsy and sluggish compared to BMW. Guess almost all cars feel like that when compared to bimmers. Nothing beats their combination of ride, chassis, and steering imo. There is a reason they are called "the ultimate driving machine."
