The government should clamp down on WholeFoods advertising.  They can't seem to back the veracity of their claims and the one company doesn't even investigate the Chinese farms.  It seems to me that the Chinese may be getting an unfair trade advantage as the American farmers have to undergo the inspections.

Certainly worthy of an investigation by the FDA.

Right now the only issue I'm seeing is the mislabeling that claims the produce to be certifiably organic when it clearly has not been inspected or designated so.

I used to buy  bags of organic frozen broccoli each week from Whole Foods and when I saw that it was from China I immediately stopped buying it (that was probably 3-4 years ago) and switched back to fresh brocolli even though it was more expensive and obviously perishable.

I just thought there is no way this stuff is organic and even if it is the air and water are still polluted.

It also kind of pissed me off that this company is shipping in brocolli from the other side of the planet when the majority of the broccoli in the US is grown in CA which is where I live

btw - a good way to piss off the people you work with is to nuke a bag of frozen broccoli and then crack open a can of premium tuna(or sardines) and dump it on top.
I actually love the way it tastes but people would complain about it all the time (ironically, many of those who complained were smokers and I would always point out that my tuna and brocolli smelled better than their cigarette smoke)

The normal person would be outraged if they find out that the vegetables or food in general that they are buying that is being sold by a store established to sell not only ORGANIC foods, but food grown in america. Maybe I am mistaken, but was not america screaming only moments ago about toothpaste and various oral hygiene products being sweetened with chemicals that were imported from China, was not america screaming about lead paint on toys imported from China etc etc. What is in this "organic" vegetables that has yet to be identified? Is it all really organic...or is it GMO from China? Since there is no oversight and no american "watchdog" company has tested this food, you are not sure what it is you have been eating since this food has been imported from China.

Just the Fluoride alone can cause irreparable harm. I don't use tooth paste just good ole Peroxide and/or baking soda

This is a thread that I would have posted.  I can see getting pissed at some of what Samson posts but this?  Serious?  I've ran into a lot of people both left and right that don't like the idea of any food coming from china to here.  They don't exactly have a good track record with the products they're sending us.  No thanks on food, I don't like the idea.
