Yah, thats what I would consider myself.  That or Libertarian Socialist or Democratic Socialist.
Noam Chomsky is a well known Libertarian Socialist for instance.
I think Capitalism can coexist with Socialism and certainly Libertarianism.  I have a traditional view of Socialism where the majority of the resources and power are put directly into the hands of the citizens instead of the government.

With each of the above tenets, there is certainly a lot of overlap and all can exist and mutually benefit each other.

Afterall, the Pledge of Allegiance, (which also never contained a reference to god in its original form), was authored by Francis Bellamy, a Socialist.

Schiff gave the best most logical and most pro-freedom, pro privacy, pro capitalism explanation for a national sales tax over the income tax I have heard yet in this clip.

If Schiff can get us to a National Sales Tax, I am right there with him.  Mike Gravel advocated this approach as well.  Instead of a Debt induced populace, we would be able to turn ourselves into a savings based populace.  Americans do not have the savings, nor the capability to save especially with the Loan Industrial Complex growing bigger and bigger and middlemen in the way with the government rubber stamping these practices.

That is a very good video and I support what he said in it 100 percent.

I, myself, have all of my money invested and I do not touch it, ever, and as he said its not like I am enjoying the money, it is helping to boost the economy, to provide jobs etc...  with the assurance that in the long run I will have made a large profit.

I am a strong believer in investments and in the stock market and I think the only way for more Americans to be able to partake in the Market which would also help grow our economy would be to enable a National Sales Tax to open the door for the possibility of savings growing through investment.
