I was raised in this town called Schenectady and became a red sox fan because my older, half brother was a red sox fan and stayed a red sox fan even through the shitty years which is why i hate that bandwagon crowd.

and yes, i got beat up alot for being a sox fan

when i lived in NYC, i just kept my mouth shut about my favorite team when i had to

All this fucking time you've been a Red Cox fan????

I feel betrayed....like i found out my GF has been banging a guy with an 11 inch schlong  :P :P

PS  Yanks already took the first series... at Fenway no less ;)...to the wang who said the sox will kick the Yanks asses.

Beckett, their ACE.... is getting hit hard this year, Ortiz looks DONE....they lost their best young power hitter in Bay, play shit defense.....Objectively speaking the Sox don't look good this year.  Yanks look STRONG

The problem is that baseball needs a salary cap of some kind.

It's ridiculous what the Yankees are allowed to do.

Three players (Sabathia, Burnett and Teixeira) and half a billion dollars spent.

How are teams like Kansas City supposed to compete with that? It's a joke.

All the Yankees do is hire mercenaries because they can afford to pay them.

You still have to be able to judge talent and its worth.

Clearly, the Mets and the Cubs are two prime examples that are incapable of this.

For example, the Red Sox overpaid for J.D. Drew.

You can't just throw money at the problem. However, it helps to have the money.
