Afro-Latin...my mom installed that in us (3 sisters n i) as little kids. Think gloria estefan marries dayron robles and growning up in primarily afro-american catholic communities.
most ricans, colombians, cubans, panamanians, brasilians and some others dont have a problem with their black identity. argentines are another species like dominicans.
as noted...we wont be shooting AAs in the streets in 20 yrs. in that case i'd have to out my nephew since his dad is one of the brothers.
now...i cant say mexican n blacks. i guess LA relations is the key.

your folks look like these two. what would you be?
I guess that's true, and I'm sure that not all have black blood in them, more percentile for Brazilians I'm sure like Dominicans, but my gf is Cuban and doesn't have one drop of black in her, and some of her family always express thier hatred against blacks.
But I know what you mean, if you do have black blood and is mostly evident in your looks, should embrace it, and in the US you would be considered "black," rather than latino.
I didn't know Domincans were like that, but then again, I have a friend who is rican/dominican mix, banging body, but also dislikes blacks.
