I like most of Rubio's positions - way more than Crist.  i've said that many times here.  his only prob is all the shady $ dealings in his past that he won't discuss - Crist keeps asking and Rubio doesn't want to address it.

Weird pattern here... the neocons (Jeb, Kristol) and true conservatives (Rubio and Tancredo) are against this bill.

Mccain and Palin, RINOs, seem to support this bill.

Let's see if the names keep aligning this way in support of this bill.  I don't see any need for Tancredo or Kristol to suck up to hispanics.  Will the RINOs continue to support this bill (with its questionable constitutionalism), with the far right candidates uniting against it?

from rubio's website...

"I believe we must fix our immigration system by first securing the border, fixing the visa and entry process and opposing amnesty in any reform.”

first this is very vague as you would expect from a politician but this bill could be deemed fixing the entry process...

240 youve laid out your plan and it would lead to the same civil rights abuses you worry about in the arizona law probably more as the ppl saying this person is illegal are citizens...If i didnt like someone I could call and report them as illegals have ice show up and hassle them...you think being detained for a 15 mins is bad or having to send/go to court to prove your citizenship is bad but your ok with ICE coming to your house?  ::)

Crist brings it up when asked his position on issues. They could ask about spending cuts and Crist says 'my opponent had deals with...'.Watching these two debate is amusing.Rubio is having a battle of wits with an unarmed man.Crist is absolutely one of the least articulate and informed candidates Ive ever heard. He is a nit wit.

ICE would come to workplaces FIRST for 6 months or 12 months or whatever.

That would dry up most of the work.  And I think an employer being forced to show paperwork is way less invasive than grabbing people on the street and saying "papers please!"

Why is billy in time out?  ???

tony,

you kick out those who ARE working, and already the # goes from 15 mil down to 12 or 10 million.

THEN you decide to do things which might violate constutition, incite violence, etc.  You make the easy move first.  And remember that ONE working illegal might be supporting FIVE or more non-workers ;)  You kick out 2 million of them, and they might be forced to take a few mil family members back with them!

Why are people so upset about the treatment of non-American citizens? Why does no one care that Phoenix has become the kidnapping capitol of the country. Why does no one care about that massive increase in violent crime that has followed in areas where illegal immigrants reside? Why are people not bent out of shape about that? Because it's not hip or edgy? Ridiculous.

Now we got some dumb Colombian pop star telling us that people should be allowed to break the law because they have dreams. That's nice and all. Chase your dreams as a legal citizen.  ::)

Because these people are gearing up for the amnesty fight and dont want anything but full, immediate, and unconditional amensty and reperations.
