I have no sympathy for any of them.  There are legal ways of going about this and the libs are showing sympathy stories of people that have been here 10+ years and made a decent life for themselves...Problem is, THEY ARE HERE ILLEGALLY!!!!

There is a right way into this country and a wrong way , you can't start off your stay here by breaking the law. if you want to come into this country legally and contribute more power to you and we welcome you with open arms.

I'm also 100% against it.  Just unsure about laws that give cops more invasive power and leary of where it leads.  I liked it before when border patrol actually worked and they let it work.  There were countless stories over the last 15 years of how BP was being hindered from doing their job.  That's what's disgusting to me.  Fact is this can now turn into an easy reason to pull over anyone based on any color.  So basically no reason to pull you over.  Illegals can come in all colors.  Again, I've spent more time on this board arguing against illegals than anyone here, or at least as much, a simple 30 second search will show you that. I'm just not sure I like putting Americans in the crossfire of getting rid of illegals.

If we don't give the local authorities the power to check citizenship if stopped for a traffic violation, then who should have it? You may not agree with Joe Arpaio's methods but at least he is doing something about it where the Fed's are not. Arizona was forced to do this because of the crime and the spilling over of the cartel violence. I wish Texas would do the same. Rick Perry the Gov of Texas sent Texas Ranger's down to the border to "help" the border patrol. They cannot do anything. Even if they are fired upon they cannot return fire. It was a move on his part to gain Political Points with everyone. Shoot a few of the people coming over and see how many are detracted from coming here. After all, they are breaking the law.

How it started is a non-factor. Hundreds of years after it started, we made laws and those laws need to be enforced, if the "Federal" gov can't or won't enforce them, then every state should have the right to enforce them.


It's the same way the civil war started, it's all about states rights.  Look out for CWII!!!!!!

Well, I could almost picture this scenario.
Slapper goes to Arizona to protest the new immigration bill and while driving about 70 miles from the border for his next protest meeting, he gets abducted by a vicious illegal alien who mistakes him for the son of a wealthy local.
