good post!  I can imagine if I lived on the coast there and seeing oil and crap all in the water and on birds and shit, gotta be disgusting.

Coach, it was BP's rig and there problem to clean up, if Obama wants to send in federal help that is his business, but it should all be BP cleaning up their own mess.  The fed didn't make an oil spill, BP did, and they should be held responsible.

Yes, the responsibility and who pays the tab is clear cut but something of this nature that has such a huge impact on the environment, the economy (just ask the shrimpers) and our infrastructure (hmm price of gas gonna go up?) needs to be addressed immediately with whatever means necessary to minimize the impact.

Look how was Obama suppose to know it would turn into this mess.  BP initially downplayed it, and all this oil didn't started coming out the first day it was a few days and they realized what a huge leak they had, then he moved in to help, he is perfect in all ways.  He gave a great speech today down there, very presidential.

I live on the gulf coast about on the water...The oil hasn't made it to our shores yet, but expecting it in the next week...BP should be responsible for clean up, its not like they can't afford it... They didn't invest in the remote controlled cap in the first place that could have kept this mess at a minimum... Tourism and the seafood market are already being affected....A real estate company that I do business with has already lost $20million in canceled reservations in one week.

When Bush was "allegedly" late with the response to Katrina (BTW, he wasn't late) the state ran news networks were all over him, but when Obama was literally and intentionally late with this, the state ran news networks are no where to be found. your drug addiction to gear well into your 50s continues to cloud your judgment.  oil companies and the Arabs have had FREE reign (not carnival queens or mardi gras kings) to name their own prices (not priceline and captain kirk) so they should have developed technology years ago from their ridiculous profits (include george bush's oil portfolio increasing to 20M during his presidency) to deal with this kind of thing...not the president. they should receive  the same treatment ( not Chemotherapy) as tobacco companies.
