the valves werent made by Halliburton, BP or transocean...the suspected valve is made by a corperation called cameron...The rig supposedly was only operating on 1 of the 5 they were supposed to be using to help prevent something like this from happening. This wont bring down BP they have been responsible for many accidents over the past couple years if you guys remember the Texas city plant that blew, well that was BP as well and they have and will continue to bounce back it may take a good while but they arent going under b/c of this.

and even if they do, obama is either going to have to bail them out or face alot of ciriticism for not while bailing out other companies.

this maybe true but if its true that they were only operating 1 of the 5 blowoff valves that should have been utilized then they use od such a system may not have been an issue...

I don't even know what I could call it.  I would have to know "what the fuck" to call it speculation.  As it is now I can only comment on what is reported just like most others are doing here.  I'm sure there is political motive behind some reports so like I said in my first post, I guess we wait and see.  Unfortunately the spin, if it's going on, could fucking go on until we no longer give a shit.

This is NOT a case of valves blowing up or faulty valves being the crux of the argument. It is about a poorly done cementing issue or something Halliburton did while cementing that causes pressure build up and explosion.
