The real issue here is that she admits to not being removed from the story.  There actually have been newspersons who have tried to remain outside the subjects they cover.  That is freaking extremely rare these days on any network and even more, commentary over unbias reporting has been promoted bigtime over the last 10-15years.  Yet the people tune in like it's news not commentary, because it's promoted as such.  This shit is on Fox, MS and the rest.  In the early days, I would get pissed and just want them to shut the fuck up with the analysis/opinion and tell us what happened.  Now it's so common I don't even think about it anymore.  They are there to tell you their opinion 99% of the time
