we had tryouts a couple of days ago for our swat DDM position.....but all of these deputies are very amateur at this type of shooting....

they were blaming there guns for their shitty shooting the last 2 days....first thing today i shot a 3 shot group out of each of they're guns, with my biggest grouping being .42......all that is required to send them to the damn school is a repeatable .50 moa......its going to be a long week....not a marksman in the bunch.....I'm giving them a break from me yelling at them, and so i could get Courtney's gun from the house....so the group can be embarrassed by a sub 5' female when she gets off work...

Hell no, a new guy fresh out of the academy would actually put his ego away, and pay attention...the newest person in this group has been here for 2 years....she will likely get the spot too...

sniper shooting isnt just something you jump into....these people had a entire year to practice.....they didnt..

....they only have to hit a .50 MOA 3 shot group..........my fiance showed up after work, and hit a .38 5shot group.....they left shamed....

LOL in all honesty i probably couldnt do that right now but give me a couple times at the range and I think I would have it down...when I was younger my dad had a little blue marlin .22LR that i learned to shoot with I could pick off .22 shells at 100yds all you could see was the glint off the shell. Used to shoot at carters country and they use clothes pins to hold their targets up when Id get tired of shooting targets Id shoot the clothes pins...

today i got bored and started shooting the staples out of there targets while they were shooting, and they kept having to sprint downrange to put the targets back up

i wish they would let me train new recruites fresh out of the academy.....but you have to have atleast 2 years experience here to be on swat.....these people with experience under their belts dont listen for shit!!!

wow, i wish i were there.  That is pathetic.  I assume they had the chance to zero in there guns prior.  I assume too that they have actually fired their guns before.  wow.  what were they using?  traditional .308's?  I just applied to the DEA.  It's a support position though

they all have .308's...most are remington 700's   some are even custom 700's built by GAP....its crazy how some of them spent almost 7grand on their rigs and still suck that bad...

yeah that is pretty bad.  Hell I have a savage arms .308 and after sighting my scope (and not an expensive one) i can get the group you are looking for.  Sad that these guys are "pros"

the female in the group is shooting a savage 10fp, with a McMillan A5 that i skim bedded for her a few months back...she heard how much the other guys spent on there GAP's and she started making gun excuses....that when i decided to shoot their guns this morning....hers did a .23 or .35...i don't remember....but the only gun that outshot it was mine.....she got confidence after that and started doing better...
