Interesting interview broadcast today with Richard Clarke. He went off on Dick Cheney for his comments that Obama is not keeping the US safe and "baiting" for a terrorist attack to be later blamed on Obama. A couple of quotes:
"What Dick Cheney is doing is the political equivalent of a hedge fund. He is buying a bet that there will be a terrorist attack in the US, and if there is one, he wants it to benefit him and his party politically."
"It's the most pandering, partisan, despicable kind of activity that any politician could engage in."
He also said that Cheney has "an evil genius kind of imagination"
