Damn straight! AMG put the wrong tranny in the car, they had to rush and didn't want to wait for the 7 speeder, so they put the 5 speed one that could handle the 700+ lb feet of torque.

And it is still a heavy car, even after taking 200+ pounds out of it.

He had a yellow one that had a blown V8 with 900hp all fiberglass body.  MaxRep has seen it.  It was basically a street legal drag racer that could cruise at 120 on the freeway.  It won some race in 1979 and then converted and cusomtized
