So, why do most Christians....

Every era has the Christians blame the rapture being near for any odd weather or natural disaster...Including bodybuilding competition decisions...

Because like every other human being they suffer from egotism and the belief that they are special enough for such an event to take place in their lifetime.

Not all believe that, however.
