In your M3 tape there was this kid with a sleeveless shirt and a tatoo on his left arm and a really stupid haircut talking trash to you while you did incline barbell presses.  Who is this guy?  I would like to fight him.

Thanks

It wasnt the 2002 Olympia? Or was that the creed / fullblown song?

First and foremost, an excellent job commentating for the Mr. Olympia Kev. especially considering that you don’t do color commentating for a living. Regardless, any chance you’ll be back next year?  As far as the big show goes, I thought Dareem Charles was completely overlooked. I mean the guy had arguably  the best overall conditioning of the show, and he presented it with such a high level of energy, that there was no way he should of finished outside the top 6..  I also think Dexter should have finished 2nd, and Cutler should have fought it out with Gastavo. Although Gastavo doesn’t have the same sort of size and balance Jay has, he does have him on conditioning.  Last but not least, the camera work……blows.

Hey Kevin,

I honestly want to know why your legs declined so significantly toward the end of your career. I am not trying rip on you, I'm just curious. Did you basically stop training them or have to cut back?

He injured his lower back meaning he couldn't do heavy squats and other similair excercises, hence the size of his legs declined.

As of 04 he's fully healed up though. Had he competed in this years olympia he would have had some huge wheels. Ah well.
cos i'm tryin' to get higher.

Mars:

I never questioned Ronnie’s placing. I simply stated my opinion on Charles conditioning, his routine, and the production of the show itself. I think if there’s one guy whose going to make an impact in next few years, I would put my money on Craig Richardson.  I thought he really put it all together, showcasing quads/calves, along with brilliant conditioning.  I think his only issue is probably his back. I would say he needs to add more size in the area.... I think other then that, he’ll be a definite force in the near future.

I guess this is slightly off topic but Darrem Charles has bad shape.  He's a million times better than I'll ever be but many pros have better size and shape than him. His conditioning is awesome but a well conditioned person with inferior proportions is not necessarily any better than someone with awesome proportions who is slightly off. That's why he finishes outside of the top six at the O.
