Two Dogs (04-2008).

While driving last winter on the highway
Very early in the morning of a foggy day
I passed by two wild dogs running quickly after each other
I thought they were fighting but they were playing together
Both were very happy and enjoying their mutuality a lot
They behaved like brothers but I was sure they were not
One of them was grey and the other was either pale yellow or white
I couldn’t determine well because the vapor was affecting my sight
I found myself decreasing my speed for a longer view
As to big extent I liked the friendship between the two
Then all of a sudden a black Mercedes Benz passed like a ghost
It seemed the driver was in a hurry as his speed was at its most
When he passed beside my poor car I felt there was an earthquake
I couldn’t control over my car and had to stop with the handbrake
After the car vanished I only saw one dog on the way
The yellow dog was there but I couldn’t see the grey
I told myself he should have been hidden in the fog
But deep inside of me I was worried about that dog
I left my car aside and walked towards their place
But still I couldn’t find of that grey dog any trace
I looked to the other dog as if asking what happened
I hoped he could tell me good news about his friend
But he was staring with total shock in a certain direction
For a while he was abstracted and didn’t take any action
Then suddenly ran to where his friend was lying
He reached him the exact moment he was dying
His simple mind couldn’t believe this crime
How came to lose his friend just in no time!
I left him rotating around his best friend’s dead body
Which the car severely torn and left completely bloody
From my car's mirror I kept following the yellow dog in his despair
His cries came to my ear as if asking why the world was so unfair!
From this moment he should live a sad life alone
His barks would forever carry a deep bitter tone!
