How long do YOU wait to call a chick after a successful FIRST date?

Had a really good first date with this girl last night. Best one I've had in over 2 years. Broke up with my ex of 1.5 years last October. Been on this single chat line since December and I've had one and after another shitty dates with a string of different girls. So, last night, I went in with an open/positive attitude, but with NO expectations and DAMN son, I was blown the fuck away. We have a lot in common and the chemistry was there. It really felt 2-sided. I was the second guy she met off the site. She said she saw this other guy a few days earlier, but is having a lot more fun with me. She wanted to be honest and you know what? I respected her for it...

Anyway, it was fun, chill and easy going. She even came up to my place at the end of the date, but because I liked her, I made out with her and that was that, confident that there'll be more in the future..

Alright, so I'm here tonight, wondering what you guys think in regards to how long YOU would wait to call her? She is definitely the kind of girl who likes the guy to take the lead and initiate. Having spent 4 hours with her last night, I got that impression. So, the next move has to be from me. I want to see her again. I was thinking of this Wednesday night. Is calling the day of, for that night, too short notice? It's either that, or I call her tomorrow, asking her for Wednesday. Is waiting 2 days too eager?

Anyways, give me your thoughts guys. How long would you wait and how would you ask her out for a second date? Just direct? This girl has quality and gf material written all over her.

It is always a worry when a gal is seeing someone else. When you make out easily with her at the end of a fun date you have to conclude she did the same thing with the other guy. If she fancies you then you won't be the last person to know it. If she wasn't seeing someone else you wouldn't be hesitating or asking what to do. The reason you can't call is because you don't want to be disappointed or possibly rejected. Text messages and email are a good substitute for cold feet.

You hit the nail on the head Vince. It's knowing that she went on a date with someone else 4 days before our date, that has made me a little apprehensive. Competition never bothered me, but the actual knowledge of it, making me a bit more weary and hesitating, (as you put it) when I normally wouldn't be doing so.

Yeah, I'm going to call her tomorrow and ask her out for Wednesday. The entire date went great. It was just the last minute that went awkward. She was getting in her car and she said that was great (our date) sort of in a rushed manner. Nothing was established from there. Again, I believe she wanted me to step up to the plate and seal the deal for the next date. I'll do it tomorrow.
