Who cares what we look like 9 weeks out? The guys giving matt advices showed him how shredded he was; and that he won the contest, and matt totally ignored him and all the other competitors that were doing nothing but trying to help him. But I guess you can lead the horse to water, but you cant make him drink.
Hopefully all this will fuel matt to diet like a madman and show everyone up, But I get the feeling right now hes sitting there thinking "I look so fucking awesome, those dumbasses dont know shit, I am the motherfucking best in this show! Hells yeah Im badass!"

looks very good at 9wks,anybody here that has competed have there 9wk out pics to compare?whether or not he's doing mr toronto ymca or this show that grants 2 pro cards he is taking the same road,he is training/dieting to win.yeah matt gets people worked up sometimes but he gats ragged for actually looking good.so don't compliment him so much how he has the greatest genetics and not using them to his full advantage,he'll figure it out eventually.

shockwave was pretty intuitive when he said that matt t only posts his pics for praise. he's not posting for honest evaluation- doison gave him a straight up honest answer and he was met with cocky attitude. tim wescott who has done more shows than anyone on this board and prolly many of us combined told him the same thing. he's got a head of bricks. the guy doesn't want to learn or want advise in earnest- he wants everyone to blow sunshine up his ass and tell him how spectacular he looks. 'oh im sponsored and i think im doing alright'. yeah ok, we'll see how many companies rush to sponsor him when he shows up at the nats on toothpics for legs and baby fat hanging off his ass and lower back. he thinks he looks good now- those guys are another level of conditioning. he looks great for the beach when he's standing alone in his kitchen but if shows up only dropping 10 pounds for this show those guys will make him look obese when he's under those lights and he's standing beside guys who are a true 4-5%.

maybe if he were more humble, and didnt pretend to be the next big thing, he'd actually be likeable and maybe someone like dosion or tim would pm and and say 'listen bro, here's what you can think of trying in your prep that might help...'

being from saskatoon explains a lot. bring him to compete in the provincials in ontario in a weeks time and he'd see soon he that he's a very small fish in a very big pond. but he'll find that out soon enough on august 28th.

if he only drops 10 pounds for this show he'll finish out of his class- welcome to the Thunderdome, bitch.

First time I saw Nimrod King I damn near shit. We were in the pump up room, getting ready to go onstage. Reid Schindle was there - and King was damn near as thick as Reid. I guess Nimrod would have weighed about 204-208 lbs at that time. He looked unbeatable for a Provincial show.

Then this HUGE farmboy looking kid that was pumping up in the back of the room took his sweat suit off. He was about 5'-11" and he weighed 242 lbs....ripped to shreds, just unheard of for amateur bodybuilding at that time. His name was something like Mike McNally (?). He beat King in the HWT class and took the overall (?), I think Winston Greene (the Green Machine) won our class IIRC. I think King might have went on to win the Junior Mr. World later that year, but I may have my dates mixed up.
