It's for a job.  They want to hire me but I don't want to be flown out there and it's some piss ant operation.  They're paying for the plane ticket but I have to pay for the VISA.

hey, London is not that bad - and most importantly, it has five airports that let you reach any place in Europe and North Africa within a couple of hours and Paris is 2 hours by train.
Been here for 8 years and love it.

But you better have a good salary as things over here are not cheap.

my bud was offered a 2 yr IT deal with housing , etc for 100+ GBPs but wife didnt want to leave states.

i checked on a job for the hell of it in research and it was half the earn-able salary in the states.  but that's how their medical system is setup?

i guess it depends on the field.
