the stock market is literally a bunch of tools who dont really know what the fuck is going on.

you might get lucky here and there but as a whole there is no way to read it because almost every holder is a tool and does all their trading based on the day's headline  ::)

.. that's what we want you to believe...   :-* :-* :-* Dont' wanna brag but YTD excluding bonuses, I generated more income trading than I did with my "day job"..... andto give you an idea, in 2009 I paid 54k in taxes on W2's income alone... do the math chief.

The only more lucrative venture would be to invest in Dubai, India.

LOL that's not "rich" chief, just uppper-middle with a career and comfortable at 33yo.... I chose early on not to spend on GH kits and "gizmos" and instead bought my first townhouse at 23 while still in grad school; in the meantime the bay area real estate market boomed and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to cash out... Then lucky enough to join a company just about to go IPO....

No shame in that; I worked my ass off from the age of 17 living on my own... never got a dime from my parents passed 18yo...

bitch or learn from it; your call chief..

I wish you all the best chief doubt it's true... at 50+,  no one with a straight mind would do what you do unless they have to... think about it; think about where you are and where people with your (claimed) income range usually are decision and influence wise...

PMed to a couple already:

lots of merger and acquisitions going on this quarter:

TDC bought by HPQ: my guess from what I heard is 50/50 to close by Q4, or early Q1 11
INFA bought by ORCL: 75% chance of closing by the end of the year
Netezza will get acquired in 3-4 months, there's about 5 vendors on the line, this is a done deal.
TIBCO (TBX), oracle or SAP... definitely going...

EMC, huge HW upgrade cycle coming in; also Vmware is selling like hotcakes, earnings will soar by end of year..

Max Linear (MXL) just about to release new chipset for power management on handhelds (OEM by qualcomm, do the math) my EOY target is high 20's

Ford (F), many say already priced in but in the recent couple of weeks stock has been beaten down regardless of the company's outlook. Similar to what happened over a year ago.

I also like BofA... always beaten down too much in downtrends and always bouces back. Chose your valleys, sell at peaks.

Alex, we need to one thing straight here bud, I chose to do this like you chose your field, doesn't matter if someone shovels shit, or is an executive as long as they can provide for their family. I worked hard, we live a nice life, wife doesn't have to work, kid is in private school and for the most part our bills are paid off with the exception of our home. I have some investments and a 2nd home in Palm Springs. We also have a boat that we write off as a home as well (yes, that is legal) and a retirement plan in place although I don't believe in retirement. It's a matter of what you make of it.

My schedule allows my to basically do what ever the fuck I want, anytime I want. My Son has NEVER said "dad is always at work and I hardly see him" (the main reason why I do what I do.)

Now, as far as what I do for a living? You think it's easy? Here's just ONE challenge for you. Design a team strength program (80 kids) separated by positions and don't forget to take injuries into consideration and how to handle that particular injury. Separate by days and when to schedule (strength, speed and conditioning). Did I mention that's just ONE team. When you're done with that I have another 2 teams that total about 110 kids (football and wrestling) and that program needs to be complete by Tuesday.

So, if you just think I'm teaching men "how to lift weights" feel free to have my week but remember, I CHOSE this and I love it. BTW, those teams? That's in addition to my regular biz.
