He had two major things going against him.  He gassed quickly and he had very little fighting skills.

Just being strong won't win a boxing, wrestling or MMA fight.  I have seen 145lb. boxers hit the bag like an explosion and could only bench 225lbs.  I have also seen 400lbs benchers punch a bag like a lady.  The difference was true power.  There are so many factors other than strength in fighting.

It would appear that the difference in above boxing descriptions does come down to strength, just a form of it that Mariusz may not be used to.  I think he can do well if he can improve his technical unsoundness.

Yes, it is obviously a different form of strength or a different way to utilize what strength the person has.

How is it that Ricky Hatton can punch stronger than Mariusz Pudzianowski?  Is Ricky stronger?

The simplest way I can put it is that Mariusz has strength conducive to winning strongman competitions but he does not necessarily demonstrate that same strength advantage in fighting.  He could learn to harness his strength for fighting with more training.  I think he can do well in the UFC.

yes I understand and I agree kinda but the training to develop that instictive skill takes years and years and years, and the stamina required to fight long periods takes years and years... he doesn't have a base for it, his base is being the strongest mofo on the planet when it comes to lifting and bending anything that isn't living like tiers and steel and rocks etc.

he has been explosive against rocks and steel... not against people who fight back and add even more presure... to beat top ufc competition with shere power, pudzianowski would have to be able to dumble bench press a car in each hand for 20 reps.... or he could develop the skill

MMA isn't a sport, killing was the sport in the gladiator days, they just didn't pussy foot around, they would have called MMA training light training in their day.

do you not understand, you cannot tell someone what it is like unless you have walked in their shoes, which you haven't.  So how are you here telling us you know what it takes to be a formula 1 driver now too?  You are so naive.

I'm not talking about how hard the fighting is... It's VERY hard I know. But beating somebody for money in front of the audience and being a star...I can't believe this shit.

I am not trying to be a dick here, but do you know anything about the sport, rules, or do you follow it in any way?
Do you just see the blood and KO's and think it is barbaric?
Be honest? I am curious.

Mariusz gassed himself out trying to take Tim down. After that first attempt the unconditioned bastard had nothing left.

yeah you can say that about being a bodybuilder on stage... men cheering for pumped up muscles, yeah great  ???

violence is allways good, this is what Joe Rogan sayes about fighting and violence and I agree

Rogan was a little off there basically saying: "Hey, nothing wrong with getting killed in the ring at 25 years old! People die every day, it's ok!" Fuking retard

WOW, Mariuz = total pussy. Fukin bum didn't even try to trade punches after the first 1-2 minutes of the first round. He'd just back off and wait for Tim to unload. What a disgrace

So quick to get to name calling... He didn't say that their is nothing wrong with it, just that it's better than living to die a slow death. YOu call him a retard as if he's pro death.... settle down.

Ya I do, what he said is retarded. This isn't Braveheart; dying in an MMA ring isn't glorious. I'd take old age and living a complete life, over getting my brains knocked out in the ring and dying in my prime. I actually don't mind Rogan, but that was a little off IMO.

Marius is a below 3rd class fighter.
Good proof that muscle and power alone means nothing in fighting.

Means "nothing"?  He took down a former two-time heavyweight champion.  He lasted seven minutes with someone who could formally say he was the best fighter in the world.  His strength doesn't mean everything, but it means something.
