Good luck on finding a primary doc that'll write you a script. :)
Almost always, yes.

I had a doc tell me that T levels are like a golf score;...the lower it is the better.  The D-bol/liver cases from the 60's/70's have done testosterone a bad turn PR wise.

So if you have low test, a doctor wouldn't get you test ether, just a gel?

Been there,...done that,...after my first HRT doc involuntarily closed his clinic down, went to another one and he flat out refused cypionate for me.  Did gel for year and a half then I had to stop hrt for money reasons while my mom needed assisted living.  After I get out of the hole want to start again.

Insurance companies do not see a health value in HRT...especially injectables.

It's a commercial ffs.  Long term TRT should be the last option imo.

I am now 51 ad have been on prescribed androgel for a the past few yrs. My test levels were found on the low side via blood test in the mid 200's mg/dl . Now they stay in the ideal healthy male range of 600's mg/dl. My ins. covers the Androgel.

Sensible drug use that corrects health problems is a major part of modern medicine. It is called a "prescription" of medicine to help one get/styay healthy doah hehehe.
Taking extreme amounts of drugs just to build muscle with no regard to overall health or disease will never be accepted by the medical profression...geeeesh

Well there you go... 600 is a level that some doctors say is on the low side,...some aim for 900-1200 the level you have in the very early 20's.

You weren't unhealthy? If not, you are unjustly medicated.

There is no ideal range, there is no optimum, the margins for normal healthy functioning are very wide. It's the often the frailty of the male ego that leads men to think they're a lesser man because their test scores are in the lower end of the spectrum.

I'm 34 and still get a boner from the Sears ad.  i'd love to run a cycle and have a pretty cool doc, but I'm scared I'll screw myself up with it.

Not the ad. You're playing the film show in your head.

That is a great commercial...love the mainstream endorsement of testosterone supplementation.

Hey, it's not man's fault that God fucked up when he designed us.  ;D
