dana white should be ashamed of that display of running, the crowd was booing the whole fight, if you even call it a fight........rampage clearly won in my eyes.................jus t because evans got a couple leg takedowns big deal.........dana white should have told them to fight and no runnin and dancing, evans needs to go to a boxing ring to dance around like that.

That dude just chased down Machida and whooped his ass, what Rampage can't run faster forward than Rashad can backwards?

Rashad knocked Rampage for a loop with the first punch, Rampage never recovered, he was scared.

I hate it when they do that shit in a hyped up fight like this. It ain't the first time, and I'm sure it won't be the last. It happens a lot when  a guy thinks he might lose a title.

I don't ever remember seeing Liddel do it.

I'm glad of two things:

1. I didn't pay for the the fight.

2. These fights only last three rounds.

No way man. Rashad rocked him but wasn't close to finishing him. Rampage had Rashad almost out and missed 2 free shots when Rashad was down and not defending himself cause he was on queer street. Bad on Rampage for not connecting those easy free shots. Rashad's a piece of shit, Rampage was too hesitant and looked a step or two away from his best. Still should've beat Rashad though and basically gave him a free pass that last round by not following up when Rashad was hurt for a good duration of that round

^ This x 100.

Rashad won because Rampage took 14 months off. If they ever fought again, I think Rashad would get knocked out. He didn't really win the fight, Rampage just lost it. Rashad smothered him with clinches and takedowns and Rampage was a step slower than normal. I'll tell you one thing- I dont think Rashad has a snowballs chance in hell against Shogun.

Rampage was sent 3/4 of the way across the cage when Rashad smacked the black off him.

Really WTF was Rampages gameplan? Hang in there until he could throw a bomb and hope it connects? His ground game is atrocious, absolutely terrible, he looked scared every time Rashad engaged him.  Don't get it bent here, Rashad looked quite the bitch himself throwing those punches and running backwards before his arm was even extended, looked like a girl trying to hit Rampage. But he executed his gameplan better and more effectively and since you're forced to pick a winner, Rashad won that fight.

Yes, Rashad rocked him but didn't have him HURT, just buckled him but Rampage was conscious and not on queer street. Also, Rampage was the one coming forward, rashad dancing away. Rashad didn't want to mix it up and that was plain as day by him going for the take downs and pinning him against the cage most of the fight. Too bad Rampage couldn't do fuk all though. Of course Rashad won, but like the previous poster said, it was more Rampage not doing anything, not commiting to punches, not trying to take Rashad down with the exception of a few occasions when he threw more than a jab.

After that beat down he gave Rashad he looked gassed after that, Rampage didn't finish because he was trying to recover, unfortunately he took too long, Rashad recovered faster and that was that. I blame the person doing his conditioning. Mike Dolce.

tell me about it.

on another note...rampage (long lay off or not) needs to not resign with wolflair or whatever they call themselves. Besides the silva fight where you could say he carried over his training from his old team.....the two full camps with wolflair he's looked lethargic and they let him get waaaay too heavy imo which means they have no control over him but are gladly taking his $$$.

If I were page i'd get back over state side asap where they'd get in his face and tell him to take his a$$ home until he is ready to actually train and not do a P90X circuit coming into camp at 251...that is retarded layoff or no layoff....and it showed last night.

Bingo! Out of shape or not....the conditioning coach is supposed to nip that in the bud. Even if it means less sparring..etc. conditioning is always first.

I'm sure his conditioning coach was trying to look for a corner to crawl into when his guy couldn't even muster up a 10 - 20 second "punch out" and finished evans who admitted post fight he went out in that exchange.

Like I said, Rashads S&C coach is phenomenal with his athletes, you can always tell when a fighter is well conditioned by the way he recovers after either being rocked or a hard exchange. Can't find the video, but when Brad Blackburn fought Amir Sadollah at UFN 20, in the third round Brad got rocked to the point I though it was going to be over, but he  recovered quick and finished. Most of our training was hard interval work with adding loads and keeping our rest between intervals at only 30 secs. Quinton trained like a boxer with long steady state runs for the most part.

agreed on quinton training. seemed like all road work (to drop weight). MMA cardio is totally different than boxing cardio as you should know (most don't). Quinton will recover from head shots all day, but overrall toll on body he obviously will struggle until a) he can leave the kitchen table alone and b) deploy nfl combine like mma training into his diet (not just sparring and running to lose weight and stay sharp)
