Jury duty vs Coaching youth sports

Which is the more noble civic duty?  Which does more to serve the greater good?

I choose coaching.

Are giant protein shakes allowed in the jury box?

Coaching. Any one can attend jury duty. It takes a greater commitment to coach, and hopefully inspire.

I'm thinking that effective coaching will help to reduce the likelihood of appearing in front of a jury.

I'd suggest that overly-familiar coaching would have the opposite effect.

Jury Duty is a good place to meet women. They're stuck there with nothing to do.

Are you saying there is a possibility of a BJ in the restroom?

Good point.  And you get free doughnuts.  What do you get as a coach?  Middleaged married women and orange slices.

Orange slices? Where did you pull that from? Why orange slices? Are they chocolate covered orange slices? This is very interesting.

All the soccer moms would bring orange slices for halftime when I was a kid, game after game.  For some reason, no one ever brought orange juice.

I was held at gunpoint for nearly an hour once,...that always excludes me when they get to the question, "Have you ever been the victim of a violent crime?"

The reality is that despite all the testosterone blustering here,...being held at gunpoint contracts your options greatly.

I got roped into coaching little league for a season. It sucked. Not so much the kids, but the parents. Every one of them thought their kid was the next coming of A-Rod.

"Why isn't my son playing?"

Because he throws like a girl and couldn't hit a beach ball. Now, get out my life. You make me sick.
