So ...the queen is ...against offshore drilling now? I'm confused....

The very politician who inspired country songs about drilling for oil is now boasting that her "drill here, drill now" plan for U.S. energy policy would have mitigated or forestalled the oil disaster in the Gulf...if only you redefine what she meant when she said that.

Last night, former half-term Alaska governor Sarah Palin believed she'd found a way to both absolve her oil-happy politics and blame environmentalists for the spill at the same time, and took to Twitter to rub it in.

If she made it clear before, in every speech, that it should ONLY be used in places like ANWR, then that's a great defense of her position.

If she said we should drill everywhere, then she wears this oil bukkake as her own - the catch phrase is primarily hers.

I'm not faimiliar with her speeches, so i don't know.  Did she specifically say "ONLY in the ANWR area, or is that a June 2010 change?"

I'd rather they stop it now. 

Too bad it looks like it's going to pour out until the end of August. Awesome. Stellar work by all parties. Here's to hoping it gets in the gulf stream!

Bush's top oil guy said nothing would work - it's all pressure - just wait til august when it runs out.

I'm thkning he knows the solution more than anything, and all these BP "Bull plug" and "Top hat" moves are PR for idiots to discuss at the water cooler.  This thing is gonna run out when it's empty, that's it.

And when all is said and done, i'd be SHOCKED if 50% still support this... you guys wouldn't believe how much of south FL business is completely gone now - no oil here yet, but the perceptoin means ppl have stopped booking.  Ft Myers beach is completely empty - I have so many friends shutting hotels down, getting laid off, etc - the place is abandoned.

She really needs to STFU. Especially in light of the oil spill currently taking place in Alaska that has resulted in the TransCanada Pipeline being shut down. We're not hearing about the Alaska oil spill because the DeepWater Horizon is dominating the news right now.
