In spite of the obvious and blatant lie by Beck I doubt he will go on the air and confess to his "error".   After watching this a few times and thinking about how it such a blatant lie I've concluded that this type of thing must be intentional.   There's no way that Beck (his producer and other people at Fox) don't know that this video was aired on virtually every media outlet in the prior 24 hours.

I believe they are making a concious choice to LIE because they know that the lie will simply be accepted as FACT by a certain percetage of their audience and that is the goal.  

The part that I don't understand are the viewers who are shown evidence of these lies and then continue to watch.   Those people are truly the dumbest of the dumb.    

Here's another example of this very same thing.   Fox News did a full page ad proclaiming that no other media outlet covered the Tea Paryy Protests.  A claim that was patently false and any smart 6th grader with access to Google to prove it was a lie.

This kind of thing has to be INTENTIONAL.

Beck and O'Reilly.  Billo seems to be shifting more to the center; leaving Beck all to himself on the far left. I actually find some of Billo's segments close to fair and balanced.  Must be ratings driven ?

All of the major networks covered the story that day.  The ad was misleading.

And ABC never reported 1.5 million.  The organizer "had a dead Iphone but overheard something about some tweets".

They were quite embarassed - they got a lot of heat for stretching the numbers up to 20-fold.  IMO, FOX has gotten better lately.  They had a rash of "Busted lying or using false footage" for a while, but seemed to have been doing that less lately.
