back in pakistan...my dad used to tell my teachers to cane me at school so he wont have to at home...

i never got anything less than a B and if i did there would be hell to pay....fuck...if i got a B i'd hear about it for months after....

in 9th grade i got a 94 on a calculus final...after the curve that WS A FUCKING B....most kids in class scored a 100...

point being...i just dont see most American (read white n black) kids being pushed as their asian counterparts...

i never went to high school here but i've seen high school kids here...they wouldn't last a week at the top pakistani or indian schools...academically or otherwise....

separate the boys n girls...establish uniforms....and cane the bastards that misbehave and what you'll get are smarter kids

it ws a british high school....

my high school diploma reads "university of Cambridge"    my test papers for the O and A levels read Cambridge cause they were graded there...

i ws 15 when i went to the university of maryland...and i ws pretty much raping everyone else in class and breaking the curve for everyone else....and everyone else in class ws 18,19 etc etc...i pretty much breezed thru my math , physics and chem courses cause it ws all stuff i had done before

i can honestly say i deserved each and every caning...
1) i used to regularly "BOO" my organic chem teacher around corners....he'd had bypass surgery...and i knew it..
2) upside down thumbtacks on the english teachers chair
3)jumping the school boundary wall and going to the beach with a few friends

or course there were some beatings i did not deserve...for example...not raising my hand to answer the question...correctly!

i cant spell and never could....i never bothered learning cause my high school physics prof couldn't spell...

bingo man..too much emphasis on sports here in the US...

yanno recently ..i had been studying at Hornbake (a University of maryland library)...anyhow they shut off the escalators in the library claiming that it will save the school 100k/yr.
however...ALL the lights for Byrd stadium(football) and the laccross field STAY ON ALL FUCKING NIGHT.WHEN NO ONES THERE (i know cause i often walk back to my car at 3 am)....

sports for us meant..2 periods..ie 2 hrs...once a week we were allowed to walk over to the local field and play cricket...and even THAT our teachers would complain that we shouldn't be allowed...
