Political Amnesia

I'm sure there will be massive denial to what's said in this article or how I'm just a blind Obama supporter, but it pretty much sums up everything quite nicely.

Disagree.  Obama and his minions have been blaming Dubya since he took office.  How many times has Obama said he "inherited" a mess?  I bet he using the same line and similar ones through the 2012 election.

Obama accepts responsibility for the oil leak response.

I don't think it can be much more clear than that.  his own words.

I don't recall Bush making any bold statements like that regarding some of the worst moments of his own 8 years...

I haven't heard it much, but he did inherit a mess whether he says it or not and whether Bush is to blame or not.

what's the point of this clip?

I don't see him saying anything about being responsible for 9-11 in this clip

All I can think about when I watch this are all those dead bodies laying in that smoking rubble behind him while Bush does his cheerleader routine with his arm over the shoulder of a firefighter

::)  Probably hard for a 911 CT nut to pick up on this, but Dubya was at ground zero saying we're coming for you.  Those were two of his best moments as president.

yes - I actually watched the clip

you posted this in response to 240's post about Obama taking responsibility

Bush did not take responsibility for anything in that clip

how is it that you didn't understand that point

I didn't know vowing revenge was the same thing as taking responsibility.

I guess that settles that.

I guess it all depends on what someone thinks the presidents actual job is...

...whether it is to be a leader, ...or merely a cheerleader. There's a big difference I don't think BB quite gets.

I don't think BB gets the basic premise of the concept of taking responsibility

OJ vowed to find the Nicoles killer

does any here think thats the same as him taking responsibility?

this is one of those classic BB responses where I have to wonder if it's willful ignorance or he truly just doesn't get it

There's a third option you missed.  Considering it's Beach Bum, ...I'd say probably BOTH

it can't be both

they are mutually exclusive
