Ok, i get that but you do what, go to U$C and watch some guys train?? I have friends who work there, go to school there and i have some buds who work for numerous ""BIG TIME" Recruiting sites and i have recieved letters about how this is a complete joke!! There are rapes that went under Pete's watch and one included Mark Sanchez with a 14 year old girl in bed with him.  :-\ :-\ She got paid and was asked to never speak about this ever again.

You feel that strong about these sanctions?? How about asking SMU players?? U$C was close to getting a T.V. ban also.  :-\ Not sure as to why that did not happen. These guys know what is wrong as what is right and what U$C did was flat out WRONG. Pete knew about this shit but when you are a big time school, shit will come out and this has been coming for four years.  :o I still say that U$C needed a four year Bowl ban and a T.V. ban.  8)

Well yeah, basically, I count it as part of my job :-\ Other than that I do a good friend that was a coach but now has moved on with carroll to Seattle, Rocky Seto, he's also the one that originally got me in with Chris Carlisle from Carlisle I got a few players to train during the discretionary training period.

Ummm....Unfortunautely, i do now people that will beat the shit out of anyone you want!  :-\ :-\ I was involved with them when i was in Duncan, S.C. and Greenville, S.C. Glad that i got away from that garbage. That has shamed me for life but i learned from being in that mess.  :) That is one of the reason as to why i wanted to head back home to Ann Arbor, MICHIGAN to find the good person that i am now.  :) I am in alot of pain now but Ann Arbor, MICHIGAN will always be there for me and i can never ever forget what "FAMILY" Means.  :)
You got contacts still seems we need a redneck to beat the shit out of someone in Ann Arbor :D :D

It's not like he's in hiding and can't be found ::)

You are so pathetic man.  No, he can't be found.  He also doesn't have to deal with the NCAA so wouldn't you agree he left at a convenient time?

It's been going on for 6 years, why would now be more convenient than before? You really think just because he moved on it's automatically over for him? Are you saying maybe Seattle Seahawks had a hand in purposely getting him out of there...please!

Are you stupid or just refusing to accept the facts?

"On December 28, 2009 it was announced that Bush had lost his bid for confidential arbitration in this matter and that the case would proceed to trial. Sworn statements would become public record and could be used by the NCAA to conclude its investigation into this matter. This investigation had been stalled by the NCAA's lack of subpoena power"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggie_Bush#NCAA_investigation_and_lawsuits

I will put this in words that you can understand.  For the past 4 years of the investigation, the NCAA was stonewalled from getting the info they needed to investigate.  The blockage came to an end on December 28, 2009.  This means his relationship with the agents would become part of the investigation and thus, public knowledge.  Less than 2 weeks later Carroll bolted for the NFL.

Just stop already.

There was also a few boosters who paid guys to come to U$C and paid their familes. I also "Believe" that they could have went after Matt Leinhart's dad for paying Dwayne Jarrett's part of the rent.   :o

Coach, you and I often agree about things, but on this issue I need to speak.

As a former Div. I athlete, I find it reprehensible to think that a STUDENT/athlete would be getting paid, much less his family.

By an athlete or his/her family accepting monetary gifts, the athlete is missing the whole point of amateurism.  You play a college sport for the love of the sport.  If you are a scholarship athlete, you are getting the opportunity of a free education at an esteemed University which will open doors that go far beyond the athletic field.

What the NCAA needs to do is look at so-called elite "academic institutions" that field some of the best sports teams in multiple sports year after year (USC is an example--even had violations in women's tennis).  For athletic scholarship athletes, how far is the institution deviating from the academic standards of the institution?

I'm all for giving a kid a chance, but just because a kid can play football at an outstanding level, performs great on the basketball court, etc. does not mean that he should be allowed in the hallowed halls of certain universities.

I agree with all of that, in fact there is talk of Bush not even being allowed on campus. I'm just saying why does the future of the football program have to suffer the consequences of the past. Seriously does that make sense or am I really missing something? I don't think Kiffen should eat it if they play well enough to make it to bowl games this year...do you?

Seriously?? You are barking up the wrong tree with that lame ass excuse!! Chris Webber is one word and he is not even allowed back on MICHIGAN'S campus till....2012 i believe!! The other four are allowed and encouraged to come back.  :) Jalen, Jimmy, Rey and Juwan are always welcome back to campus.  :)

Oh Jesus Christ.  Kiffen, Ed Orgeron, and Todd McNair were members of the USC staff when the infractions occurred.  Yes, they should eat shit for what they did.

We were on probation for 10 years and Chris still deny's that he ever took anything! We lost out on 10 years. U$C got off really soft and i think they were close to getting a T.V. ban.  :) The only money Chris ever took was when he was a Middle School star and High school star to play for some jackass but our future players were punished.  :)

Coach, it makes perfect sense.

The institution compromised the spirit and intent of amateur athletics.

Sports at the college level, as far as we may have drifted from the original principles, are still supposed to be about fair play and lessons learned on the field carrying over into other aspects of successful life.  Less than 1% of Division I athletes are going to have successful athletic careers at the professional level, so the athlete is playing their chosen sport as a representative of the institution.  If the institution has compromised its ideals, everyone suffers.

Otherwise, no lesson is learned.

Putting it in that prospective it now makes perfect sense. Sometimes it takes me awhile but eventually I get it....I got that! What D1 sport did you play and where?

stick to obama coach.  reggie was getting paid to play at USC.  ojay stuff went to civil and they got him anyway down the road.  carroll shouldnt be allowed to coach at the ncaa or pro level for 2 yrs...and bush should lose his hardware.  let these guys play for something.  you can fine the school a couple of million too.  bet their hire people in future to keep on eye on this kind of stuff.
i'm pretty sure the boosters and or an agent was paying not the university.....their problem was knowing about it and not doing anything...
