 I took Tae Kwon Do for a few years and in real fights most of the moves are not that great. Some of them are useful but a lot of them are more like artistic fighting moves for training, not really useful in a fight though.

 The best part about it was learning how to use weapons. I can fuck someone up with a bo stick.

Id say boxing or Judo

it also depends on the person a smaller person with limited reach wont get as much from boxing as a person who has orangatan arms.

judo when taught from a competitive standpoint and not soley traditional is extremely effective, traditional is more of reacting to what they do and competitive is more of getting them to do what you want them to do or imposing your will.

Boxing always worked for Mike Tyson a excellent street fighter, I think Mitch Green got to a him couple of times though.

Boxing is great until you go up agains someone who knows leg kicks or takedowns. Anything goes in a street fight. You're most likely to win if you know how to cause serious injury fast.
