At last check, the election of 2008 was between McCain and Obama, not Palin and Obama. What happened to that line, "People vote the top of the ticket".

The GOP put the veteran at the top and the rookie at the bottom; the Dems did the reverse.

This was basically feeding into the notion that, McCain might win, drop dead 10 seconds after taking the Oath of Office, and leave Palin as president.

Let's face it, McCain has PTSD. The guy had a breakdown running against Bush and started going all "evil empire" when the said he had a black grandchild during the South Carolina primary.

No one, and I do mean no one, could go through what he did and escape without being messed up in the head.

He was a lot better before becoming more of a politician. They got him to back off on immigration and also to never mention campaign finance again in exchange for the nod.
