I have a friend who is very high up in the hierarchy of rackspace hosting, the premier web hosting provider of the united states.

He told me that he will host the entire getbig.com domain for free since he is a friend and owes me a favor.  Now rackspace is extremely fast and reliable, never any downtime and they have hundreds of CCIE certified employees.

I will have him host getbig.com, in exchange for moderator powers on the gossip and opinions board.

What do you say, 'Ron'?

You will no longer have a monthly web hosting bill to pay.

considering there r  ONLY 27 some thousand CCIEs on the planet....i sorta call bullshit....

i know 6 CCIEs and all of them make welll over 500k/yr...

500k/yr sounds pretty good. Any online cert courses I can take to get a gig like that? ;D

I'm not sure what getbig is hosted on and what the technical specification are, but having a very busy webpage myself with high tech specs demands I can tell you
given by the number of visitors and mostly guests (putting in consideration that you cannot compare a forum with a video page like mine) he would need at least a dedicated with capped bandwidth (I say at least 50mbps capped).

I agree with you Racspace is the Ferrari under web hosting very efficient very professional 100% up time great service and all - BUT extremely expensive.

He would at least needs something in the Enhanced One offer which comes at around $900 a month.

So what happens if your friend leaves Rackspace? And ron does not have a contract? Let me answer that for you, they will simply tell him to get lost and we either don't have a board anymore or Ron has to go back to a slower server.

go get your CCIE....

step 1....buy and memorize the books on the link i present...i have...took me about 1 yr 4 months and around 10 to 14 hrs / day worth of reading :)
