They do it for the fad. Most of the dogs where I live are either Chihuahuas or some small mop looking dog. There is this lady walking a Chi now...and hey are annoying. Also because a lot of "celebrities" get them, many of the Chihuahua owners I believe are followers. Just like many who get Pitbull owners for the "bad boy image", I believe people get the th Chihuahuas because it's a fad to do so. And most are women, who want to use them as "practice kids". And the guys who have them seemingly beaten into submission by their girlfriends to own one.

Yes, John Matrix, I agree, they get these dogs to go with their "lifestyle", or to show that they are hip with today's poular culture and try to emulate today's worthless, talentless "stars".
