I know this was already posted and I don't want to rehash the story fully... but my question is where is the outrage in the Muslim community? Where are the protests in the streets of NY, Mich, CA, and other states across the USA, not to mention the billion other Muslims around the world??? You don't see such atrocities in Catholicism do you? Do the Jews murder children so sickly like this? This just goes to show that this disgusting religion is nothing but a wacked out farse to promote violence. Muslims around the world need to stand up NOW and TODAY to demounce this crap. Until then, they fall further down towards illegitimacy.
This should cause riots in the streets, with women in black headscarves yelling walla walla walla... and calling for the heads of Taliban leaders for such crimes.
But all you hear are crickets... nothing but erie silence.

I understand the point you're trying to make, and I'm not making any excuses as to why we are not seeing or hearing any protests. It could be for many reasons. Right now the only thing we seem to be hearing in the news these days is how horrible the oil spill is... and up here in TO, how the costs of the upcoming G8 & G20 summits are going through the roof.
There is one thing I want to point out though, ...Do you really think that public protest in a country like Afghanistan is possible? Do you think a regime like the Taliban would smile, stand back, and observe the crowd? Do you think Afghans have the right to peaceably assemble as we do in the west?
Why is it that Muslims are blamed for the actions of the Taliban?
When the UK passes whacked out laws, does the whole world condemn the Anglicans?
When Italy jailed that American exchange student, claiming she murdered her roomate in a drug induced satanic orgy, and sentenced her to 26 yrs in prison without a drop of credible evidence, did people scream what a crock Catholicism was.
When the Chinese show little respect for human life, ...do we scream about Buddhism or Confucinism?
When the Nazi's chose to murder millions, did the world blame Catholicism, ...or did they condemn the madmen running the 3rd Reich?
Israel commits attrocities everyday against men, women, and children, ...yet none of us are foolish enough to think these crimes are committed in the name of Judaism. We fully understand that Israels crimes are rooted in the politics of Zionism, and have nothing whatsoever to do with Judaism, despite their use of biblical claims to justify their politics.
I understand the absolute outrage you feel over this, ...but must everything be set against a backdrop of religion?
Just look at what 7 years of war have done to your country. Just consider for a moment what kind of a country the USA would be if after
thousands of years of war, the Saudis or the Chinese (since they're the only ones with all the money) funded the Westboro baptist church to such an extent that they became the defacto leaders of an illiterate, uneducated USA hobbled by centuries of warfare, with a stranglehold on every aspect of American life. Would the hellish scourge they visit upon America be a reflection of Christianity, ...or the perverse dogma of a megalomaniacal psychopath and his followers? Does the "Christianity" of the Westboro baptist church bear any resemblance to that which we see from Rev Schuler's Crystal Cathedral?
Don't be so reactionary, or paint with such wide brush strokes.
